My alarm went off at 5:15 AM this morning as it does every morning (except Sunday). It’s super cold (35 degrees fahrenheit!) and still really dark, but I get dressed in my workout clothes and head out to meet my friend for our 6 AM spinning class. We have been going to this class 4 – 6 times a week for the past 4 months. Knowing my friend (who has 4 children ages of 6, 8, 10 & 12) will be meeting me there is what really motivates me to show up. She is my accountability partner and I am so grateful for her.
Seeing my friend and getting a workout in first thing makes me happy and energized. No matter how I am feeling, it always makes me feel better. What I didn’t really expect is that I would find a community of awesome people in the class. In fact, there have been times when my friend couldn’t make it to class, but I went anyway because other people I knew would be there. That feeling of belonging is so powerful and being around people who truly want you to “win” and reach your goal (whatever it may be) is why community is so amazing!
You can have many communities in your life ~ Your Family, Your Religion, Your Gym, etc. I found that once I decided to go out on my own and start my business, I needed a business community more than ever. It’s a fact, people thrive (one of my favorite words!) when involved with a community. Having a community that I meet with on a regular basis (in person or virtually) has proven to be successful for me – I can not imagine having my own business without it!
Creating or finding a business community that can really support you and relate to your business is a little tricky especially if you are a jewelry designer.
Designers don’t always like to share information with one another. Tracy and I feel very strongly that there is more than enough “business love” to go around for everyone AND that by giving, one receives so much more in return. Helping others is really what is all about anyway.
When Tracy approached me last year and told me about her vision of creating a loving, supportive community specifically for jewelry designers, I was immediately onboard! Launching Flourish & Thrive Academy has been incredible! I am so proud and honored to be a part of something so fantastic.
Our community consists of Jewelry Designers from all over the world! Our first course, Flourish & Thrive Academy Laying the Foundation Volume 1 was a such a big hit that we are offering it again!
If you are a jewelry designer who is just starting out or you are a jewelry designer who has been status quo for awhile, check out some of our FREE trainings that are launching within the next few weeks. Our community is the best out there~full of encouragement and support.
Our First free training goes live today.

HI Tracey and Robin, I am so thankful I found your website. I’ve already started using some of your ideas. I have been “in business” for a year now selling my jewelry. I just tried Etsy.com, but sold more in my local community. My Etsy shop is on “vacation” as I ease back into my teaching job from the holiday. BUT the exciting news is that I just ran a “giveaway contest” on my Facebook fan page. That was fun and it did indeed bring some more traffic to my facebook website. I would also appreciate learning how to develop a “brand name” for my jewelry, if you might have any information on that! I look forward to the other tools you will be providing this year. Sincerely, Barb
Barb,
Thanks so much for your thoughtful note. Robin and I are so excited that you are getting so much use out of the site and the free resources. We have some more FREE trainings coming up really soon!
Can’t wait.

I agree a community is much needed…I am a very thoughtful and giving person so this group of women whom aren’t afraid to share sounds perfect for me and my business. I have faced so many fears in life and in business the last 5 years since my divorce and I’ve learned a lot about patience, God, what real friendship means and more..I cannot wait to get connected here.
