How To Stay Focused on Your Jewelry Business this Holiday Season

It’s here! The Holidays are here in full swing! Doesn't Thanksgiving seems like a distant memory? And Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are a bit of a blur. With all of that behind you, now is the time to do some jumping jacks (to get the blood flowing and boost your energy), smile (because everything is better when you smile) and enjoy this crazy wonderful season by hitting all of your sales goals!

There are 22 more days until Christmas.

I don’t know about you, but I am feeling a giddy! Maybe it’s the scent of pine in the air or the colorful poinsettias and wreaths everywhere – it’s all so wonderful! As fabulous as it is, it can also be super easy to get distracted and loose track of what you need to be doing for your biz. You know it is important to stay focused on your goals and keep making things happen, but how can you?

Tracy and I have been talking a lot about intention and action with the jewelry designers in our Ramp Up Your Holiday Sales course. It’s great to have intention, but without action it is nothing. To help you stay on track, make sure you stay connected with your community or your accountability partner. If you don’t have a community or an accountability partner, then go get one! Staying accountable will help you stay focused and on track.

Here are other ways to help you stay on track and in action.

1. Reach out to your customers

It’s not too late! Schedule time each day to make calls or send emails out to your clients. Also remind your neighbors about your jewelry line. When communicating with your customers,

  • Ask them how you can help them and then listen.
  • Anticipate their needs and offer a solution before they ask.
  • Be consistent and persistent with your follow up, but not annoying.
  • Keep track of your interactions so you can best serve your clients.

2. Make it easy for your clients.

By having a few different packages or sets like earrings paired with necklace or ring paired with a bracelet. Other great packages are Best Sellers, New Collections, Designer Favorites. Offer gift wrapping or special packaging – this is always a plus in my book!

3. Talk about your business.

Tracy and I feel so passionately about this. Whenever you are out doing errands or at a holiday dinner party, make sure you are wearing your jewelry and talking about your business. We both have gotten new clients by doing just that. And by the way, airports are a great place to meet potential clients.
And one more things, keep your company top of mind with your customers by infusing your branding into every point of contact with them. Your branding should be on all emails, newsletters, postcards, invoices, etc.

Keep smiling and have fun selling!
