A brief story of what you do and why you do it:

I enjoy the process of being in a space and knowing how to develop it into a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and functional environment. Translating this to jewelry has been a natural extension of what I already love doing. Connecting with clients, getting to know them and their lives helps me discover what they need and want. I believe interior design and jewelry should be playful, feel meaningful and be a symbol of self expression.

How did you get into jewelry design?

I was looking for a way to expand my interest and experience in architecture and design and was curious about starting my own business. I found a jewelry making class within walking distance from where I lived at the time and fell in love. I was learning the lost wax technique and found it so fulfilling to work with my hands. So I decided to start my own line.

What makes your collection unique?

I think my design process makes my collection unique because it is an extension of my interests, my studies and my personality. I tend to start with an image or sketch for inspiration, but each piece develops and takes on a life of its own in the process. I don't always know what it is going to be when I am done. Sometimes a new design sits for a couple months and then I revisit it with fresh eyes. There is a lot of creating, playing, revising and editing before I share a new design.

What are your inspirations?

Architectural design elements such as windows, tile, fabric patterns, textures, color combinations and historical details.

How are you making a difference in your life?

I am challenging myself and testing my boundaries by learning how to express myself creatively in a public way while starting a new business. Both are very much out of my comfort zone, but I have never felt more fulfilled and peaceful.

What's something unusual about you that makes you “you”?

While I love owning my feminine side and totally pull off a pair of stilettos all day; I am a Southern California native at heart so I love snowboarding, hiking and swimming in the ocean. I really enjoy connecting with people, getting to know them and developing long lasting relationships but I also cherish alone time exploring and balancing.
