A brief story of what you do and why you do it.

I handcraft each and every piece in my Denver studio in limited editions. I sell my collections to stores as well as my website. I also design custom wedding and heirloom pieces. I love creating unique jewelry that brings joy to the women who receive it. I also love the fact that I can be as creative as I'd like and make a living out of it.

How did you get into jewelry design?

In high school, I started making jewelry for fun. Then in college, I sold pieces to women on campus and shortly after graduating, I realized it was my passion to start my jewelry design business.

What makes your collection unique?

Since I started designing jewelry, I've always loved making statement pieces that really make an impact and still love incorporating those in every collection. I think the choice of materials, color and form can set my brand aside from others. The quality materials and craftsmanship is important as well. I often hear from customers that the piece they purchase looks even better in person than on my website and that means a lot. I feel it is a testament to the quality.

What are your inspirations?

My love of color, history and cultures is apparent in the work. I think overall color really drives my inspiration followed by a story. From there, a collection can take on its own family of characters.

How are you making a difference in your life?

I work with non-profits throughout the year in my community donating pieces for causes near to my heart. I also work with an online collaborative boutique who gives the customer the choice to decide which charity a portion of their purchase will go to.

What's something unusual about you that makes you “you”?

I think my style is unique. I love vintage-inspired fashion but also love funky patterns and colors and believe I not only implement that in my everyday style, but love to design my collections with that same aesthetic in mind.

What is the biggest struggle in running your jewelry business like a business?

My biggest struggle while it is still a small business is learning to juggle all aspects of the business and learning some of it as I go. It can be overwhelming at times but I'm learning the power of prioritizing and good list-making.

About Sarah

Since I was a kid, I've always enjoyed being creative, whether that was painting, drawing, sewing or just creating! I studied art and anthropology in college. During that time, I didn't have a clear path but knew I loved being creative and learning about cultures from all over the world. Shortly after moving from the midwest to Colorado, I was making jewelry on the side and decided to try selling it at local art shows. I was very encouraged by that and one day shortly after I thought to myself, this is my passion, this is what I want to do! I've been growing it ever since.
