You only get one first impression!

And…according to Forbes Magazine it takes at most 30 seconds for a total stranger to form their first impression of you.

You might be thinking, what does this have to do with my jewelry business?

It’s a pretty short answer when it comes to making sales (especially to stores)…

…Everything!

On today’s episode I’m going to teach you how to make a lasting, positive impression on your DREAM retailers using the most important wholesale tool there is.

“The Wholesale Line Sheet”

Robin Kramer is my guest today and we are teaming up to teach you how to create a wholesale line sheet that will grab the attention of any retailer.

(This is exactly how stores like The Claypot, Sundance Catalog and Anthropologie are evaluating if they want to carry your collection or not)

Your line sheet, done correctly, has the power to keep you top of mind for any buyer resulting in SALES and success for you.

But you have to nail it…

…because you only get one first impression.

What to Include In Your Line Sheet

The first page of your line sheet should be your cover page, followed by a bio or about page. Most importantly, you will need to include your collection pages to show what you’re actually selling!

Your line sheet also must include what we call your terms of sale page so that buyers have a clear expectation of what to expect when working with you. And finally we find that it’s great to include a press page to show any publicity you’ve gotten and an order form to take the guesswork out of buying from you.

Page 1: You Cover Page

Your cover page needs to convey to the buyer in just a quick glance what you’re selling. Include your logo and quality image that is jewelry focused. You can also include information about your sales rep

The whole purpose of your line sheet is to make the buyers job easier, so make sure that you cover page clearly tells them whose jewelry they are looking at and how to contact you.

Page 2: Your Bio Page

It’s important to communicate about You! Tell the buyer what inspired you and how you got your business started. We are seeing a trend in wholesale nowadays where the story of the designer is absolutely critical to the sale of the product.

So even if you’re working through a sales rep you will want to use this about page to help the retailer get to know you and what inspired the particular collection that you are selling.

We’ve got a lot more to tell you about the rest of the pages that make up your line sheet, so tune in to today’s episode!

And, because we love to make your life easier, we’ve created a  Line Sheet Checklist to help you create a stellar tool for your jewelry biz.
