Designer Spotlight: Ladan Sajadi

A brief story of what you do and why you do it:

All my life I love to handcraft from painting a portrait to crochet, folk painting on walls or anything that I can do using my imagination. About five years ago I started to make jewelry by beading and wire-wrapping and I really enjoy every minute I am spending on that and three years ago I decided to look at it as a business.
I love the moment that a lady shines and helping to reach to that moment is all my enjoy in making jewelries.

How did you get into jewelry design?

I think every woman no matter what she does or how she thinks, at least for one time imagined herself in a luxury look, I tried to bring that imagination to life. My designs have a bold and noticeable noticeable look and I believe that jewelry must and has to talk by itself.

What makes your collection unique?

I look at women as goddesses that have to shine so i designed three lines in my collection:

1- Chiton: For designing Chitons I inspired by the ancient Greek way of clothing in the same name. Chiton made with best fabric that adjusted on the body by jewelries. I got this idea and tried to bring it to 21st century's need so I simply made the jewelry part removable. In my Chitons, you only have to remove the jewelry part, wash your top at home and attach it again so easy washing and maintaining comes along with luxury look.
2- Jewelry line: I made all the necklaces with Swarovski crystals & pearls and tried to bring shine to any outfit by using them.
3- Transformation line: I tried to make something to totally change the look by using them.

What are your inspirations?

As I said the inspiration for Chiton line was the ancient Greek way of clothing by the same name with a bounce of easy washing and maintaining.
For jewelry line my inspiration is always a luxury look lady that I try to give her life.
For Transformation line I inspired by a woman that wants to join her friends for a party after work with no time to change her cloths, I tried to make something that made a big change by just adding to your outfit. My motto for this line is ” be ready for everything”

How are you making a difference in your life?

I love to learn and i think learning any skill will open a door to a new world and make a difference on the way of your thinking. I am a perfectionist and I try to go deep in anything that attracts me to learn.

What's something unusual about you that makes you “you”?

I am an active woman with a passion to learn and no fear to experiment every skill.

What's the biggest struggle in running your jewelry business like a business? OR What is your biggest success in running your business like a business?

The biggest struggle in running my business is to get connected to my dream clients. I spend most of my time try to find them on social media and find a way to connect to them.
