Designer Spotlight: Pam Millershaski

A brief story of what you do and why you do it.

Using dominoes and scrabble tiles, I create unique and glamorous necklace, bracelets, and earrings. I believe women should feel amazing in jewelry that is as individualistic as they are! My jewelry doesn’t scream “dominoes and scrabble tiles.” The wearer can share that tidbit if they want to.

What makes your collection unique?

Along with jewelry created from recycled or thrift materials, I offer inspiration and dreams in each item. Jewelry accessories that are unique and special can really bring a ladies’ self-esteem front and center.

What are your inspirations?

I’m inspired by just about everything in my world. I love thrift and garage sale materials, but I also find inspiration from celebrities, movies both old and new, fashion trends, history, songs, and nature.

How are you making a difference in your life?

I am fully realizing my dream, and I get to share that love with others all over the world. Sometimes when I wish I’d started this business earlier, I have to remind myself that everything happens for a reason. I use the many skills from my prior careers to help me now in my small business.

What's something unusual about you that makes you “you”?

I’m a positive, glass-half-full kind of girl. I love always seeing the best in people or whatever comes my way. Remaining optimistic has helped me to learn from and then move on from business set-backs.

What's the biggest struggle in running your jewelry business like a business? OR What is your biggest success in running your business like a business?

My biggest struggle with my small business is staying on top of paperwork. I definitely feel calmer and more in control if the paperwork is up-to-date so I try to remind myself of that when I’d rather procrastinate. Paperwork in my business has also been my biggest success, too. Thinking back over the past year and everything I’ve encountered and overcome is a powerful feeling!
