    What a great video – I sure enjoyed the interview with Melissa! I absolutely agree with the importance of press, not necessarily for the immediate excitement – but because it can help give you validity down the road. For myself, this worked well with jewelry publications and tutorials that I had written. I was able to reference these publications when I pitched my book inquiry on jewelry design to a publisher (which was accepted!). These publications were a major asset in my portfolio as a jewelry designer.

    Yes I was afraid that I’m brand new but you take this fear away ) I think for the most of us the scariest part is to make follow up calls to editors and start talking about “How cool I am”

    What is holding me back is that I am not sure how to approach the media. I would love to take the class and learn how to do that.
