Over time, as you evolve in your business, changes must be made.

Your goals are different, and your situation changes as your business grows.

It’s a good thing, though!

You become a different person than you were when you first started your business, right?

So even if you went through our bootcamp last year or even took Laying the Foundation, hearing takeaways from other designers will totally help you.

We’re making changes at Flourish & Thrive Academy and while it’s going to take some getting used to, I’m very excited about the future!

Everything is Connected

Branding yourself as a designer has lots of moving parts. You need to understand why you’re doing this, who it’s for, and how the experience of your brand (and jewelry) delivers on that promise.

Getting it all nailed down is a continual process. Your dream clients are determined by your “why” and that influences your designs and your business. Thinking of everything together helps you build a cohesive brand.

Taking Risks Pays Off

Reaching out to potential clients sounds intimidating, but if you do it right you’ll start to love it! Find the best fit for your brand, prepare yourself for their questions, and look for things you have in common like core values or philanthropy.

One designer got a huge order because she put herself out there and asked for the sale. She got it! But she did it the right way, by connecting through her brand’s “why.”

Focus on the People Who Love You

Saving your energy is huge as a business owner. If you’re not careful, you might spend all your time trying to please one customer who always has something negative to say. Customer service is very important, but some people just aren’t a good fit for your brand.

Instead, focus on your dream clients. The ones who like what you’re doing and almost never complain, even when things go wrong. You can’t please everyone, so take back your energy and put it towards the positive things!
