EP 372: 3 Steps to Grow Your Business to 7-Figures

The reality of growing a 7-figure business may be a little different than you think.

That’s because every time you up-level your business, you have to make a lot of new changes.

The strategies that will take you from $0 to $100,000 aren’t the same as the ones that will take you from $100,000 to $200,000. And this is true for every step along the way.

Basically, what got you here, isn’t going to get you there.

I know that this is true for myself. So, I want you to think through where you’re at now and what you’re trying to achieve. Are your current strategies going to support your goals?

Adopt the Right Mindset for Growth

The first step on the path to a 7-figure business is all about mindset.

And the reason I always throw mindset into the equation is because it effect every single thing in your business.

Understand that if you really have this goal, your approach to business needs to change and the way you show up for your brand needs to change.

Get Enough Traffic for the Sales You Need

This step might seem obvious, but so many people don’t even think about it. You need to get enough traffic to generate the sales you need.

If you’re selling online, that means web traffic. If you’re selling in-person, that means literal foot traffic. If you’re selling wholesale, that means reaching new clients.

You need to understand your conversion rates, or how much traffic you need to get one sale. From there, you can reverse-engineer your goal and focus on generating the traffic you need. 

For instance, if you make one sale for every 100 website visitors, and your goal is to make 20 sales per week, then you need to get 2,000 website visitors every week.

Now, step number two, might seem obvious that people don't think about this is that you need to get enough traffic to get the sales that you need. 

Develop the Infrastructure to Scale

Finally, a critical step that you may not be thinking about yet is setting up the systems your business needs to handle growth.

Let’s say you woke up tomorrow morning to find that Kim Kardashian wore your necklace on the red carpet. It may be a dream come true, but would you actually be able to handle that sudden influx of orders and attention?

Chances are, probably not.

That’s why it’s important to get systems in place now, so that you’re not constantly putting out fires as your sales grow.
