EP350: 9 Things I Wish I Would’ve Known in the Beginning Stages of My Jewelry Company

EP 350 Blog Feature

When I started my first jewelry company, I would have done anything to have someone tell me what to do, give me the lowdown on industry secrets, and mentor me.

I was ambitious and ready to quit my full-time job to embrace the entrepreneur lifestyle.

Spending my weekends chillin with my husband or getting brunch with my friends sounded a lot better than showing up on the sales floor of Nordstrom every Saturday morning, a little hungover from Friday night festivities (it was the 90’s and I was only 27).

Honestly, I wish something like Flourish & Thrive Academy and our Laying the Foundation Program had been around back then because I really didn’t know what I was getting into and I wanted to know how to grow my jewelry business

Starting (and growing) a jewelry company isn’t the hardest thing in the world if you know what you’re getting into.

Whether you’re a newbie or an established designer trying to grow, you’ll love this episode of the Thrive by Design Podcast. Growing a Business Takes More Time Than Your  Full Time Job (in the Beginning)

Transitioning from being a full-time employee into full time entrepreneur will be exciting – you might even imagine Miami vacations, sipping Rosé all day, and hearing your Shopify store ding off the hook on the beach as passive income rolls in… Surprise! In the beginning, you will likely work longer hours than you did at your 9-5 job. But if you set your business up right early on, you can design your business in a way that serves you and the Miami lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of.
