Tuesday Tip: Million Dollar Maker Mindset
If you're not getting the results you want in business, the number one thing that is standing in your way is your mindset.
The way you think about yourself and your business, whether you’re conscious of it or not, has a huge impact on your success.
I’ve worked with thousands of designers over the years, and all of them have the same goal: create financial freedom by scaling their business.
Some of them give up.
Some of them get stuck.
Some of them scale to the millions.
So what can we learn from those million dollar makers?
When you stretch yourself, amazing things happen.
I used to teach yoga, back in the day, and I would always tell my students, “fake it ‘til you make it.”
See, sometimes students would come in and get a little irritated because I was teaching advanced arm balancing techniques, and they’d be like, “Why are you pushing us this hard in a level 2 Vinyasa class?”
But I did it because I knew that after a few classes, they’d be amazed to find out what they’re capable of.
The same thing goes for your business, m’dear. When you stretch yourself, amazing things happen.
Don’t let your beliefs hold you back.
What I learned from this teaching experience is that sometimes, when we’re confronted by a new problem, we decide that we can’t solve it before we even try.
I know I’ve felt that way before.
When you don’t believe in yourself, your capabilities as a business owner, and your capacity for growth, you’ll be easily deterred by the roadblocks that every business owner faces.
Reframe failures as learning opportunities.
Failure will not set you back as far as the fear of failure will.
When you fail, it’s an opportunity to stretch. You come out the other side a stronger business owner.
When you’re controlled by a fear of failure, you never let yourself try in the first place.
