#238 Ask Me Anything: Questions From Our SOS Students

Blog Featured image template (6)

What kind of questions are successful, in-demand jewelry designers asking about their business?

Today, we’re going to find out – and answer them!

I get Insta DMs all the time with questions about everything from sales to social media, to protecting your creative energy.

I think it’s about time I answer some of the most common ones I see…

These are just a handful of the questions sent in from some of the students in our Strategic Online Sales Accelerator coaching program.

The program is designed to offer guidance for jewelry designers with goals of scaling to multiple 6 figures and beyond.

So, these questions were asked by some pretty smart cookies – just sayin.

How can I be more productive in the day-to-day operations of running my business?

Productivity and time management is a HUGE sticking point for jewelry designers, especially for new designers who are trying to do it all.

This can cause you to get distracted by the smaller, more immediate demands of everyday life, and totally neglect your creative visionary duties that will shape the big-picture.

It’s tough, but the best advice I can give you is to create a schedule and stick to it. Easier said than done, I know.

I like to theme my days, too! At the beginning of the week, I look at everything I need to do and block it out into themed days. Monday is for sales, Tuesday is for production, Wednesday is my creative day… etc.

I have a lot of followers on social media, but not a lot of engagement. How do I fix this?

This is a loaded question, but I get it all. the. time.

Social media is a vital part of creating a brand. Unfortunately, your engagement will always be subject to the whims of the algorithm.

While there are strategies you can do to boost social engagement, it’s crucial that you’re sending your followers to your website and email lists. You have much more control over those than your Instagram account.

As far as boosting your engagement goes, there are plenty of ways to do that. Listen to the full episode above for a whole list of strategies!

I’m always seeking out new customers, but what can I do to improve the experience for the customers I already have?

Ask for feedback!

Crazy concept, I know, but it really is that easy. Reach out to your most loyal customers and ask them to fill out a survey – or better yet, get on the phone and interview them personally!

It’s important to offer an incentive in exchange for their time. A gift card for your shop or a free piece of jewelry should do the trick.

You get helpful feedback, and they feel valued in return. It’s a win-win!

This is only a fraction of the questions I got for this podcast. To hear the rest of my answers, listen to the full episode above!
